ABOUT

Mission Statement: We are an action-oriented movement, led by students, to promote nation-wide school safety and gun reform.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

-Margaret Mead

When we first heard about the tragic shooting on February 14, 2018 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High school, we were devastated and angry. On Thursday we were heartbroken and angry. On Friday we were grieved and angry. Today, we are angrier than ever that gun violence exists in the United States and in our very schools. In the wake of mass shootings all over the country, at Sandy Hook, Columbine, Marjory Stoneman, Las Vegas, and hundreds more, we stand to say Never Again. Based in Toledo, Ohio, we are a movement dedicated to change in making our schools safer through strong legislative policies, including necessary gun reform.

We recognize that this is not a matter of red or blue, but by uniting behind a common goal to keep schools and society safe. We advocate for a proactive plan to stop gun violence and believe nation wide discussions must be held regarding real gun reform, education, and mental illness.

We believe in multiple opinions, the determination to protest, and the compassion that will see significant change occur as we work together. We will not let the issue of safe schools and gun violence fade into the background of political debate, but will uphold this movement until powerful change occurs.
